Strawberry swiss roll

It's the simplest idea. A sheet of vanilla cake, light and fluffy. Strawberries steeped in strawberry jam. Roll. Cream. Slice & eat. Simple... not. The swiss roll has been my "nemesis" in cake making. It's like rolling a maki, just trying to get the filling right in the centre of the roll. It never has failed that my filling would either roll off the sheet of cake or end up at the bottom of the roll! Well, practice makes perfect rolls then.

So the reason why I'm posting this is 'cos it tasted better than it looked! LOL yippee it just goes to show that looks aren't everything!

Luscious berries glazed in strawberry jelly... ooooh yum! and to top it off with freshly whipped vanilla cream oooh double yum!!
