Soccer goes beyond sports. It can bring an entire nation together. We saw this recently with our home team winning at the Asean, they received a hero's welcome. Nevermind, the lost the next day but it was that goal that made all the difference. I'm no soccer fan (nor fan of any sports) but I understand that feeling of striking a goal of any kind in life (how poetic!).With this cake, I miscommunicated with the customer and made the wrong cake. But with all things in life, nothing goes to waste, so my friends and family will have the joy of cutting this one up!
The challenge of making anything round, especially a soccer ball, is getting the patterns to match on a three dimensional surface.
