Ok I readily admit that I'm no fashionista nor have much knowledge of difficult to pronounce brand names LOL! When I received this cake order, I couldn't (and still can't) pronounce the brand name Hermes. I had to do a thorough research as I've never seen this bag known as a Birkin. I didn't know if it had a zip!
The details were interesting to make. I was trying to figure out how the bag opened and closed LOL!
I eventually took the risk and made a zipper... sorry if this is heresy to Hermes!
Most customers didn't notice this cake sitting at my window. They seriously thought I had a bag at the window until I started peeling off fondant that got damaged overnight! had a good laugh : )
